Google Video Is a Good Thing

Hello All,

Just because I feel the urge to post something, and because none of my tech tours are finished or edited, I decided to blog about Google Video.

It a video website. People upload videos and you can, most times, download them. YouTube is also a video website, but you can't easily download videos from there. [FACT: Google bought YouTube for $1.65 Billion dollars this summer].

For my birthday my wonderful, delightful parents bought me a 30 GB Video iPod. I can personally say that it is the best gadgets around. Anyway, after I uploaded my music collection (omitting my 10 or so auidobooks), I started looking around for other things to add to it.

One day, as I was looking at this video, I noticed the download button. I downloaded it and put it onto my iPod. It was a summer morning before we were going to visit my Grandma. I watched it on the drive there. Anyway, since then I've downloaded around 2.5 GB of video onto my iPod.

Today I found the movie The Lake House (PG) full length and downloaded it onto my computer. The way it was configured, I'm not able to put it on my iPod, but that's okay. I also found Final Fantasy: Advent Children full length English movie (I don't know what rating it is and I haven't watched it yet) and I'm putting that on my iPod tonight. This is pretty much illegal but, I must say, as long as P. Bush is preoccupied with the War, he won't have time to me down with my free Keanu Reeves move. *ha ha ha*

I was pretty amazed by the amount of stuff that you can find there. You should check it out sometime and see if you can find anything you like. Just watch out for "weirdness".

Good Luck and Happy Downloading!

Overview of my Blog

Just so you know how to navigate my blog easily.

1. About Me
Here you can learn a little more about me.
E.g. If you wanna see what music I like just click on the View My Complete Profile link.

2. Blog Archive
This is a archive/list of all of my blog posts. Grouped by year and then month.
E.g. If you click on November you get a list of all the posts I made in November (I only made one!). You can click on it's link and read it if you want to.

3. Labels
Here you can view posts in certain categories.
E.g. If you wanna find that Google Sidebar click on the Review label and all of my posts with the Review label will come up on a single page.

4. Links
Here I have links to my older blog (Twenty Four (Spelled out!)) and I may add some to other neat websites. This will take to you another page away from my 24 blog, but you're welcome back anytime!

HOW TO COMMENT

At the end of each post there is a link says " #_ Comments" click on this link.

A new page will come up. On the left hand side of the page there's all the comments that other people have made. On the left hand side is where you can post a comment.

Type what you want to say to me in the box.

Below the comment text box is a word verification box. Just type the letters/numbers you see in the little image. All this does is let Blogger know that you're not a automated spammer.

I've made it so anyone can post on my blog. You can select anonymous or type in your name (PLEASE don't type your whole name! First name is fine, but putting your whole name online in public isn't safe!).

Next, press Publish Your Comment and it will be posted onto my blog. I will then get a notification saying that I have a new comment and other people will be able to read what you said, too.

That's it! If I know you as a family member/friend, I'll email you back or just post a comment replying to yours.

Enjoy! I will have a tech tour for you soon!

Tech Tours Starting Now!

I recently realized that not a lot of people are very good with computers like I am and that half of the things that I am gabbing about will not make to sense to a lot of people. So I have decided to post (here on this blog) tech tours that will teach you (the reader) how to do things that will help you do basic home computing. I'll start out easy, and then get harder as time goes on. The first projects will be on the internet (because it's pretty much "unbreakable") the later ones will involve your operating system (which is breakable)

To those who aren't that good with computers, it's not too late! We (humans) are entering the technological age. The computers are taking our jobs. Our new job is to be ones to run the computers. So, you have to learn out them in order to run them. Overall, computers aren't that difficult to understand in general. So, don't be afraid to lean about computers. If you follow my instructions carefully it'll turn out okay. And don't be afraid!

I really encourage you to try the tours. If you don't understand something you can post a comment (I'll show you how to do that in another post).
